NAVE provides time, space and an invigorating environment for making aimed towards a select group of artist producing exceptional work.
This residency is directed towards contemporary thinkers and makers who demonstrate an uncompromising critical engagement towards their practice. Contemporary artists, writers, musicians, designers, architects, filmmakers with a critical commitment to contemporary culture are all welcome to apply. Our program has a stronger presence within the contemporary art field but we encourage the presence of all relevant disciplines.
We function within a 'self – run' model meaning every resident is responsible for the use of their own time. We encourage our residents to prepare a talk open to the general public either on their own work or any relevant topic. Group critiques, panels exhibitions and parties are to be organized to the discretion and consensus of the group. Exhibition and event promotion is handled by Nave under Nave/New Works platform. Visiting Artists and Studio Visits are to be announced in due time.
Admission is competitive.
10 spots are made available each session. 1 and 2 month long sessions available.
Sessions start on the fifth of each month.

-Fully furnished private room and bathroom.
-Individual studio space equipped with work tables and chair.
-Exhibition space
-Documentation space
-ℨ ℳeals a day
-Storage space
-Speakers, projector and printer. (see Resident Handbook for materials provided)
-Outdoor brick oven
-Fire-pit
-9 acres of land, some of which is used for the production of native flowers, jicama and other vegetables (see Resident Handbook).
-Fish pond and rowing boats
- Outdoors basketball court
-Hiking trails
-Washer/Dryer.
-Pigeon House
-Various fountains
